Aberdeen Sports Village is pleased to announce that NHS Grampian has met its cardiovascular health check target for the second year in a row thanks to their Keep Well initiative.
The Keep Well programme aims to target health inequalities and improve the overall health of 40 - 64 year olds in the Grampian region through free health checks & interventions designed to promote healthier lifestyles.
Due to its success, the programme has been granted an extension by the Scottish Government to run throughout 2012/2013. NHS Grampian hopes to complete 1,500 cardiovascular health checks and follow-ups during this time.
ASV supports the programme through providing access to its state-of-the-art Performance and Well-Being Centre for Keep Well health checks, and providing facilities for the Well-Being Circuit, a beginners exercise class accessible by referral from the health checks.
More information about the initiative can be found on the Keep Well website.
