The Scottish National Short Course Championships, held recently at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, saw a huge medal haul and some outstanding personal performances for Aberdeen Sports Village based swimmers.

As part of swimfree@asv, a programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund's Young Start programme, pupils aged 16 and over attending any of Aberdeen City Council's secondary schools or who have left school but are not in education, employment or training can apply to take part in the programme and receive free industry training in swim teaching, lifeguarding and first aid.

Aberdeen Sports Village has confirmed the appointment of Duncan Sinclair as its new Chief Executive.

Duncan will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of Aberdeen Sports Village, ensuring the award-winning sports facility continues to provide opportunities for everyone in the community, in addition to attracting national and international sporting competition to Aberdeen.

Following the recent essential mainteance work, we are pleased to advise customers that the 25m pool will re-open at 6.30am on Tuesday 1st December. This also means that the 50m pool will now return to the standard schedule of long course and short course sessions.

Please check the online timetable for information on the sessions available. Please accept our apologies again for the inconvenience.
