ASV Achieves Investors in People Award

Aberdeen’s Open Champion Paul Lawrie today joined team members at Aberdeen Sports Village to recognise the attainment of the Investors in People (IiP) standard.

IiP is the UK’s leading people management standard and recognises good practice in the training and development of employees, helping organisations to achieve their business objectives.

ASV Chief Executive, David Beattie said: "I am delighted that we have attained the Investors in People standard across the whole range of our activities. This reflects the hard work our team put in to ensure that our internal processes for the development and management of people meet the required IiP Standard and shows just how far we have come since opening to the public in 2009.

ASV places great importance upon the IiP status because it sends an important message to staff that their role is valued and that we are aspiring to continual improvement.  We will continue working with IiP with our aim being to reach the Gold Standard – an accolade only achieved by 1% of organisations in the UK”

Rebecca Bannochie a member of the reception team received the award on behalf of ASV added “I have been employed by the Sports Village for 11 months and I am delighted with the support and training that has been available.  Only last weekend I was able to attend a hockey coaching course, something I never imagined I would be able to do and this will give me the opportunity to try out new career development opportunities.”
