Track & Trace
Aberdeen Sports Village, has employed track and trace technology as part of our commitment to delivering a safe environment for our members and staff. Aberdeen Sports Village is dedicated to minimising the risks of further infections through our stringent cleaning and social isolation restrictions. Tracking the spread of the virus, then tracing the people an infected person has been in contact with is critical to this commitment. We would encourage all members and users to complete this should you have a positive test.
Face coverings must be worn in all non-sporting areas. For example, you must wear your mask when entering the facility and throughout the reception and corridors, but you can take your mask off once in the Gym, pools, etc.
We're asking everyone who uses ASV to keep within the entry times for their sessions. Please arrive activity ready and no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of your session for Sports Centre activities and no more than 5 minutes prior to the start of your session for Aquatics Centre activities.
Our customer service team won't be able to permit entry before this time and you will be asked to wait outside.
Our new app and website will mean you can book in advance, and contactless entry will make your visit easier and safer. This will also help us to manage the number of people in the facility to reduce busy times and minimise queues.
Please use our hygiene stations!
You'll see sanitising stations throughout the building, so it is easy to regularly clean your hands when you visit. Please do so before you enter ASV, to help keep you and others safe.
Everyone is advised to keep 2 metres apart
At over 800sq metres our huge gym means we have been able to create all the space you need to work out, while keeping a safe distance from others. Similarly, our large pools, full size indoor pitch, running tracks and vast sports hall means we can welcome you to ASV with confidence. Look for the signs around the facility to guide you.
Our capacity has been reduced
To help keep you safe we will be reducing capacity and limiting the number of visitors to ASV at any one time. We will carefully control the number of people in all areas to make sure everyone can practice social distancing and has an enjoyable visit.
We've upped our cleaning frequency
We’ve put in new cleaning procedures which means we will be sanitising equipment throughout the day and cleaning the facility every night. You will also find plenty of wipes available, so you can clean your kit for added peace of mind.
There's plenty of space between our equipment and machines!
We have reconfigured our equipment and created plenty of space so that you can exercise, train and work out in the space you need. We have clearly marked out the different areas, including within the gym, so you can find your way around safely. We will also be controlling numbers, so that you will feel comfortable and we are not too busy.
One way system
You will see plenty of signage and markers to help keep you heading in the right direction when you are moving around ASV. By following these simple guides and staying apart you will be helping to keep yourself and others safe.
Please arrive at the Reception which is closest to your activity location. For example, if you are arriving for lane swimming then you should arrive via the Aquatics Centre Reception. If you are arriving for a gym session, then you should arrive through our Sports Centre Reception.
You can count on us
Our team are being fully trained on our new safety and cleaning procedures and we will make sure our brilliant facilities are ready for you to use and to enjoy. We will give you a warm welcome and will be on hand to provide any help and guidance you need when you visit.
