The 2025/26 Grampian Squash season has come to a close, marking a successful year for ASV Squash and Racketball Club (ASVSRC).

ASVSRC had teams competing across all four levels of the Grampian leagues, as well as an over-45s team. It was a strong season overall, with league wins in two divisions and second-place finishes in the other two.

One of the standout performances came in Division 2, where the team went unbeaten all season and won more than 80% of their matches. Two players didn’t lose a single match all year. In Division 3, the team also won the league, losing just twice, with several players either unbeaten or losing only once.

Young players from the club also stepped up to compete in the senior leagues. Om Patil was named Junior Player of the Year, and Julian Zabke-Mingarelli picked up Player of the Month in December.

At a national level, two junior players finished as runners-up in their age groups at the Scottish Championships. Ten juniors were selected to represent Grampian in a national team event, where the under-13 team won their category. Two players were also chosen to represent Scotland in an international competition in Dublin.

Off the court, Graham Davidson was recognised as Volunteer of the Year, while Arun Pathal was named Player of the Year.

The club also introduced a new development programme covering topics like nutrition, injury prevention and performance. Alongside this, they hosted a charity Squashathon during Organ Donation Week, bringing together members and local university students for a fun team competition.

The 2025/26 season saw ASVSRC teams compete across all levels, with league titles, cup wins and junior representation at regional and national level.
