Class Name | Description |
20/20/20 | A varied, full-body workout in three parts: start in our cycle studio for a quick 20-minute cardio blast, then 20 minutes of strength training and finish with 20 minutes of core & stretching! |
Ashtanga Yoga | Ashtanga is a dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace. Suitable for members who have practised yoga before. |
Aqua Aerobics | A high energy, fun fitness class in which you perform a range of aerobic moves in the pool shown to you by our motivational instructors! |
ASV Walking Group | Walking is a great way of improving your health and meeting new friends. Come along for a gentle stroll and uncover some local & cultural sights. |
Beginners Weightlifting Circuits | New to weightlifting? These sessions are just for you! These are run by our qualified members of staff who will be on hand to assist and provide advice during your session. Once you know how to lift correctly, please move onto to our weightlifting circuits class. |
Beginners Yoga | A yoga class for those new to the practice! Our instructors will guide you through poses, including any modifications to suit your ability. |
Body Attack | BODYATTACK™ is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. |
Body Balance | BODYBALANCE™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. |
Body Combat | BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic programme is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. |
Body Pump | BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weightlifting exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. |
Body Step | Basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs, is at the heart of BODYSTEP™. A full body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. In a workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work legs. |
Cardio HIT | Cardio doesn't mean just running - try this high intensity class if you want to mix up your cardio routine and find fun ways of getting your heart rate high! |
Evergreens Advanced Circuits | A little more challenging than regular circuits, this class will help improve strength and cardiovascular endurance. Learn to use a range of equipment from kettlebells, wall balls and dumbbells alongside learning tough bodyweight |
Evergreens Aqua Aerobics | A high energy and fun fitness class in which you perform a range of aerobic moves in the pool shown to you by our motivational instructors! |
Evergreens Badminton | Non-coached badminton sessions exclusively available for our Evergreens members and visitors ages 60+. You can bring your own equipment or hire kit from ASV on arrival. |
Evergreens Chair-Based Exercise | Gentle exercise using a chair which will help improve mobility and strength in the joints |
Evergreens Exercise to Music | Aimed at bringing people of all abilities and fitness levels together, to have fun getting fit while exercising to music! |
Evergreens Fitness Pilates | This class is a mixture of chair based exercise and standing exercises aimed at improving balance, core stability & general fitness. |
Evergreens Metcon | Using a mix of equipment such as kettlebells, wall balls and TRX, prepare to work hard. Metcon, or 'metabollic conditioning,' will not only elevate your fitness levels but help you gain strength and muscle, and improve your movement. |
Evergreens Pickleball | Non-coached singles pickleball session, suitable for over 60's. Participants must bring their own equipment |
Evergreens Spin & Core | Cycle your way to improved aerobic fitness and toned muscles, with extra abdominal conditioning for core strength. |
Evergreens Studio Cycling | Cycle your way to improved aerobic fitness and toned muscles throughout the lower body! |
Evergreens Table Tennis | Coach-led table tennis sessions exclusively available for our Evergreens members and visitors ages 60+. You can bring your own equipment or hire kit from ASV on arrival. |
Evergreens Weightlifting | Key Olympic lifts in a circuit format specifically for our Evergreens Members. This class is a mixture of body conditioning, strength, endurance and resistance training, led by our highly qualified instructors. |
Evergreens Yoga | Increase range of motion, improve flexibility, facilitate relaxation and release tension, focusing on posture, alignment and breathing. A great way to relax! |
Fitbar | Full body workout using a barbell and weights. Learn how to correctly squat, lunge, press and pull in a fun and safe environment. Similar to Body Pump in style, but less focus on reps and more focus on technique. |
Fitness Yoga | This class uses the postures and stretches of yoga in a group exercise format to develop strength, stability and flexibility. |
HIT | A 30-minute varied high intensity interval style class. Use equipment & your own bodyweight to push your body to the limit. No class will be the same, ensuring that your body will continue to adapt and ‘HIT’ new levels of fitness. |
HIITstep & Abs | Using simple body weight exercises performed on a step followed by some core this class is suitable for all fitness levels. The music is buzzing, the energy is high and the time will fly! |
Les Mills RPM | A cycling workout that delivers maximum results with minimum impact on your joints. Tune in to some great music and get your pedals spinning as your instructor takes you on journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. |
Les Mills The Trip | Immerse yourself in this virtually-led cycling class! Les Mills' The Trip combines a 40-minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally-created worlds. |
Pilates | A form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body, with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall wellbeing. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility and integrates breathing and movement within proper body mechanics to increase awareness. |
Queenax HIT | Use our state of the art Queenax frame in the gym to help improve endurance, strength and movement in this high-intensity workout! |
Qi Gong | A powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. Qi Gong is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy. |
Retro Fun Aerobics | If you are new or returning to fitness this class is designed for you! This class has sing along tunes and easy basic moves so what are you waiting for?! Fun and fitness guaranteed. |
Sh'Bam | SH'BAM™ is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star - even if you're dance challenged! |
Stability Fit | A great workout to increase overall balance and posture, and give you flexibility in your everyday life. This works your abdominal muscles, the back and your mid section to build muscle strength and also protect you from injury. |
Stable & Able | Designed to improve leg strength, balance and posture. This class is ideal for those looking to stay steadier on their feet and improve movement confidence. |
Stretch | A class focusing on flexibility, improving your posture, and reducing the risk of injury. Please bring your own mat to class. |
Studio Cycling | Cycle your way to improved aerobic fitness and toned muscles throughout the lower body! |
Studio Cycling & Core | Cycle your way to improved aerobic fitness and toned muscles, with added abdominal conditioning. |
Teen Gym | Aged between 12-15? Keep fit with specialised teen gym sessions at Aberdeen Sports Village. These are bookable sessions where teens can use the gym under supervision of one of our highly qualified personal trainers. |
Teen Studio Cycling | Teenagers get ready to have fun and boost your fitness level in this high energetic cycle class. |
Teen Weightlifting | Weightlifting class specifically for teens to build functional strength by lifting free weights. |
Total Fitness | If you think you're fit, then think again - we dare you to try this class! It uses dynamic exercises, a range of equipment from kettlebells to wall balls and sprints to develop overall fitness. |
Weightlifting Circuits | Based around key weightlifting moves in a circuit format, this class is a mixture of body conditioning, strength, endurance and resistance training. Our qualified trainers educate and coach you through the session as you perform the key movements. Please only attend if you know how to use a barbell and lift correctly. |
Yoga | Increase range of motion, improve flexibility, facilitate relaxation and release tension through focusing on posture, alignment and breathing. A great way to relax! |
Vinyasa Yoga | Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another seamlessly, using breath. |
Yin Yoga | A slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. |
Zumba | Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. |
Zumba Gold | The easy-to-follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed. Zumba Gold® classes provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults, beginners to fitness, or those returning from injury. |
