The 2025/26 Grampian Squash season has come to a close, marking a successful year for ASV Squash and Racketball Club (ASVSRC).
ASVSRC fielded teams across all four divisions of the senior Grampian Squash Leagues, as well as an over-45s team in the Veterans League. The club won league titles in Divisions 2 and 3, with teams in Divisions 1 and 4 finishing as runners-up. The Veterans team finished mid-table.
In Division 2, ASV People completed the season unbeaten, with an overall match win rate of more than 80%. Two players remained unbeaten, winning all nine and fourteen of their matches. Gaurav Ahuji was named Division 2 Player of the Month for December, and the team also won the Division 2 Handicap Knockout Cup.
In Division 3, ASV won the league with 16 wins and two losses. One player competed across Divisions 2 and 3 without losing a match, while five others recorded just one loss during the season. The team also won the Division 3 Knockout Cup.
ASVSRC juniors competed in the senior leagues in Divisions 3 and 4. Om Patil was named Junior Player of the Year, and Julian Zabke-Mingarelli was named Player of the Month for December.
At national level, Paris Enoch (U11) and Om Patil (U13) were runners-up at the Scottish Nationals. Ten ASVSRC juniors represented Grampian at the Scottish Inter-Regional Tournament, where the U13 team won their age group. Eilidh Young (U15) and Om Patil (U13) were selected to represent Scotland at the Five Nations Championship in Dublin.
Graham Davidson, an ASVSRC Division 1 player, coach and Grampian Squash committee member, was named Volunteer of the Year 2025/26.
ASVSRC also introduced a performance development programme for players, coaches and parents, covering topics such as hydration, nutrition, refereeing, injury prevention and performance.
ASV and ASVSRC hosted an all-day Squashathon during Organ Donation Week in September 2025. The event brought together ASVSRC members alongside AU and RGU students and graduates for a ‘University Challenge’, combining general knowledge and squash matches, with AU finishing as winners.
Arun Pathal was named Grampian Squash Player of the Year 2025/26.
The 2025/26 season saw ASVSRC teams compete across all levels, with league titles, cup wins and junior representation at regional and national level.
