Following her impressive success earlier this year, Aberdeen Sports Village’s Kiishi Adekola has now been selected to represent Scotland at the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships 2026.
Kiishi’s selection comes off the back of a standout season, which included her dominant performance at the Junior National Cup in February. Competing in Dundee, she won all seven of her matches in the Junior Girls’ event without dropping a single set to secure the title - an exceptional achievement at national level.
That momentum has continued, with Kiishi’s consistency, confidence and commitment earning her a place on the Scotland team for this summer’s international competition.
With table tennis not included in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Championships will take place in Delhi, India, from 27 July to 2 August. The event will feature a team competition alongside singles and doubles events, bringing together top players from across the Commonwealth.
Kiishi’s continued progress reflects the strength of the Aberdeen Sports Village Table Tennis Academy, where a focus on technical development, competition experience and long-term athlete growth supports players on their journey through the national pathway.
Her journey has also been supported by the Dr Hellen Reith Trust, which helps young athletes access the coaching and opportunities needed to reach their potential.
Everyone at Aberdeen Sports Village is incredibly proud of Kiishi’s achievement and wishes her the very best as she prepares to represent Scotland on the international stage.
