Aberdeen Sports Village is proud to see two athletes from its Table Tennis Academy selected to represent Scotland at the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships 2026.

Kiishi Adekola and Maja Wojcicka have both been named in the Scotland Women’s Team for the Championships, which will take place in New Delhi, India, from 27 July to 2 August.

Both players come into the selection following strong performances at the Junior National Championships in March, where Kiishi was crowned Junior Girls Champion and Maja secured a runner-up finish.

Kiishi’s selection follows an impressive run of form across the season. Earlier this year, she delivered a dominant performance at the Junior National Cup in Dundee, winning all seven of her matches in the Junior Girls’ event without dropping a single set to secure the title. She has continued that momentum in recent competitions, including retaining her U14 title at the Scottish Senior Schools Championships, highlighting her consistency and confidence on the national stage.

Maja’s selection reflects a strong and consistent period of development, with a number of high-quality performances across recent competitions. She also delivered an excellent performance at the Scottish Senior Schools Championships, narrowly missing out on the U18 title following a closely contested final. Her selection is a well-earned recognition of her continued progress and commitment.

With table tennis not included in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Championships will be held as a standalone event, bringing together top players from across the Commonwealth. The competition will feature team events alongside singles and doubles matches.

The selection of both athletes highlights the continued strength of the ASV Table Tennis Academy, where a focus on technical development, competition experience and long-term athlete growth supports players on their journey through the national pathway. This progress is supported by a dedicated coaching team.

Scotland will be represented by:

  • Men’s Team: Martin Johnson, Calum Morrison, Danny Bajwa, Chris Main
  • Women’s Team: Alisa Khalid, Paula Callaghan, Kiishi Adekola, Maja Wojcicka

Everyone at ASV wishes Kiishi and Maja the very best as they prepare to represent Scotland on the international stage.
