What is Reformers? +

Reformer is a specialised machine designed to provide resistance-based exercise. It consists of a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, ropes, and pulleys, allowing you to perform a wide range of movements that target strength, flexibility, and balance.

Do I need prior Reformers experience to join a class? +

Not at all. We offer fundamentals and beginner-friendly classes to help you get comfortable with the equipment and techniques.

What should I wear to class? +

Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes. Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety on the Reformer machine.

Grip socks available to purchase from ASV sports centre reception. Cost £10 and card payment only – limited supply.

How long is a class? +

Classes typically last 50 minutes.

How many people are in a class? +

Our classes are open to a maximum of 12.

Can I do a Reformer Classes if I’m pregnant? +

It is generally advised not to begin any new form of exercise during pregnancy. However, if you have been practicing Reformers consistently prior to becoming pregnant, you may be able to continue with modifications. We strongly recommend that you first consult your doctor, and then check in with your instructor before class so appropriate adjustments can be made to ensure your safety and comfort.

Can I do a Reformer Class if I am injured? +

Please inform your instructor of any injuries or physical concerns before class begins. They will provide modifications to ensure you can move safely and effectively throughout the session.

How do I book a class? +

You can book online through our website or mobile app. We recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

What is your cancellation policy? +

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel a class without being charged.

Is there an age limit? +

Reformer classes is suitable for 16+.

What if I’m late to class? +

For your safety, late arrivals may not be allowed to join the class if the warm-up has already started. Please arrive 5 minutes early.

What should I bring? +

Just yourself, your grip socks and a bottle of water – we’ll provide the rest

I’ve never done Pilates before – can I do Reformers Pilates (Re:Pilates)? +

Yes! Our specialised instructor will ensure the class is open to all levels.

How much is a class? +

£12 per class or included in your Premium membership.

What happens if I cancel? +

If you cancel before 24 hours of the class, you will be issued with a credit note to use for a future class. If you cancel within 24hours, you will be fully charged.

What class is best for beginners? +

We advise doing the fundamentals or the beginners class so you can get to know the equipment and be confident with basic movement patterns.
