Feb Junior Development Camp

These past months, two Aberdeen Diving Club athletes, Noah Penman and Samuel Tomisson, represented ASV on the national and international stage, demonstrating the power of dedication, training, and community support.

Noah and Samuel attended the first Junior Development Camp of 2025 in Southend, joining 39 of the UK’s most promising young divers aged 12-18. Their selection was a result of exceptional performances over the past year, as well as strong results at the junior development assessment camp last September. For Samuel, this was his first experience at this level—a valuable opportunity to refine his skills and gain insight into the world of elite diving. The camp focused on technical diving aspects, along with psychology, physiotherapy, and goal-setting workshops, equipping young divers with the tools to succeed.

Meanwhile, Noah had the unique honour of competing as part of Team GB at a World Aquatics-recognised event. As the only British junior diver invited, he was part of a 10-diver team competing against the world’s best, including Olympians. Noah delivered an outstanding performance in the Men’s 3m event, qualifying for the semi-final in 6th place and securing one of the top two spots among British divers to advance. In the semi-final, he finished 6th, narrowly missing a place in the final.

This marked Noah’s first individual senior international event—an incredible milestone that showcased his ability to compete at the highest level. With valuable experience gained, he now sets his sights on the upcoming Senior European Championships in Antalya, Turkey, where he will once again test his skills against elite competition.

The journey of these young athletes reflects ASV’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing pathways for future success. Through expert coaching, top-tier facilities, and unwavering community support, we continue to help young athletes reach their full potential.
