University of Aberdeen Performance Swimmers (all students at The University of Aberdeen) continued to progress at the BUCS Swimming Championships in Sheffield

Departing from ASV at 06:30 on Friday 24th February, 15 University of Aberdeen swimmers from UOAPS and AUSWPC took on the 9-hour drive by coach to Sheffield to compete at the BUCS Long Course Swimming Championships - quite a journey to take, with swimmers immediately disembarking the bus and getting ready to race fast!

All swimmers acquitted themselves incredibly well coming 8th in the University Team Points results, the highest position ever achieved by UOAPS.

A highlight of the day was UOAPS' Faye Rogers who broke the British Para swimming record for the S10 100m Butterfly in a time of 1:06.94.

This record has been held by Alice Tai (Paralympic Gold Medallist) since 2015; a fantastic achievement by Faye! This is her 10th British Record Para Swimming record since starting her training at ASV with the Performance Swimming Programme.
