Virtual Santa Run!

The 5th Aberdeen Santa Run is being jointly organised by both Aberdeen Sports Village & CHAS this year, we are also delighted to have Drummond Finance sponsoring the event.

This year we’re going VIRTUAL! And we are hoping to host our biggest and best one yet, but to stay safe, we’ve decided to turn this fun family event into a virtual extravaganza.

Over the weekend of the 11-14 December, we want the streets of Aberdeen and the shire to be full of joy when they see Santa's passing their windows.

As part of your entry fee, you will receive a Santa hat, a gift certificate, entry into a chance to win some prizes and recommendations for your preparation.

This year – there will just be one entry fee per event, but you can choose between a 1 mile or a 5k. Any additional fundraising is up to you!

The entry fees are:

• 1 mile or 5k with Santa Hat (Child entry) - £10.00
• 1 mile or 5k with Santa Hat (Adult entry) - £15.00
• Family entry with Santa Hats (2 adults and up to 3 children) - £30.00

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS):

We support families through the terrifying heartbreak of knowing their child may die young. With love and compassion, we offer highly personalised care in hospice, hospital and home. We make things possible so children have the freedom to be themselves, play outside, laugh, sparkle, smile, and have treasured moments of joy. We are there when needed most – in really tough days, at end of life, and after a child dies. By taking part in the Aberdeen Santa Run you will make sure that no-one faces the death of their child alone.

Aberdeen Sports Village delivers a range of projects to participants from ages 0 to 90 years+ with the key aim of improving health and lifestyles in the local community. Due to the impact of COVID ASV have had to stop some important community programmes. The funds that are raised from this years Santa run will therefore go towards supporting the return of the following initiatives:

• ASV Kids - ASV Kids programme aims to inspire and encourage children to grow up leading a healthy and active lifestyle – all in a fun environment.
• EnAble at ASV - ASV deliver classes for those with additional support needs. These sessions will encourage children to try new sports and activities – all in an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment.

The kindness from the event sponsor, Drummond Finance, will allow the entire entry fee to go directly into the above charities and really make a difference.
